Halekai Retreat and Guesthouse

This sparkling little gem, in a secluded setting of woods and bamboo groves offers a unique opportunity for reclaiming time.

Whale-watching, ocean & river kayaking, hiking in nearby forests, walks on bluffs and breath-taking beaches are a few of the local activities. Mendocino Village, with its shops and art galleries, is a short drive away.

Halekai, which means water house in Hawaiian, offers Wastu. Watsu is a sequence of gentle movements and stretches which relax and nurture the mind, body and spirit while you are held in warm salt water. The relaxing effects of warm salt water and the therapeutic nature of the Watsu moves & stretches create a bodywork of extraordinary depth, according to Watsu founder Harold Dull of Harbin Hot Springs, School of Shiatsu & Massage.

This charming Hawaiian-style cottage has a large master bedroom with half bath, and a queen bed overlooking a private patio in the woods.

The main room has a gas fireplace, skylight and abundant windows offering views onto the decks and private gardens. Also available for your enjoyment is an outdoor soaking tub.

There is a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area and second bathroom.

DVD movie library, cd  player, phone and internet access available.

Halekai is minutes from world-class restaurants and a very well stocked grocery and deli.
